Lead IT Projects with Confidence
To move beyond their hard tech skills, in our Project Essentials course, IT pros will learn how to coordinate IT projects to better harness IT resources for business success. This free, classroom-based, 8-week course combines curriculum on soft skills from our PrepareU boot camp
, project management and business analysis tailored for the entry-level, certified IT pro.
A series of interactive lessons and labs in soft skills will teach communication, collaboration, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, as well as good workplace and career habits. Students also will gain knowledge and skills in project management to initiate, manage and support a project or business initiative. The business analysis section of the class will teach students how to define business requirements, collect and analyze data, design solutions and act as a liaison between IT and business end-users.
Graduating students will be able to lead projects with confidence and complete projects on time and within budget. At the end of the 8-week session, they’ll sit for the CompTIA Project+
exam and certified graduates will be introduced to local employers. We work with more than 60 employers to connect our students to possible jobs.
Students must hold one or more IT certifications (preference given to CompTIA certifications
), OR have a degree in IT, OR be enrolled in IT training.
